a few words about me

Photography, people, wine, food, travel and beauty in all its shapes and forms. I think by now you might have guessed my passions. It all started back in Germany when I was six years old and I got my first camera. Very soon I realised that photography was my way to express myself, my stylistic means, my art. From there on I never put my camera aside and took it with me everywhere I went to.

And so my pictures documented my passions over the years: from landscape, flowers and nature in my childhood and during my university years in Tübingen to concerts, clubs, DJs and musicians during my years in the UK. I have to admit that I miss those musically inspired and crazy years in England!

But it was only here in Italy, when I arrived more than 10 years ago on Lake Garda that I managed to bring all my passions together, to live the life that I’ve dreamed of, the Italian life. Thankfully photography has remained the central piece that holds all the other passions together and I hope you can see that by looking at my pictures, see the joy of life, see the excitement when I come to new places and meet new people.

People often ask me what I like to photograph most and my answer is always: people who are passionate about their work, likeminded people, people that just don’t manage to explain their work without smiling, without raising their heartbeat. Or have you ever seen a winemaker that doesn’t get excited when explaining the different grape varieties?
